Michelle and Gary Schwartz of Heritage House Bed and Breakfast spearheaded a local effort to help Hurricane Katrina victims. They, along with innkeepers in the Rappahannock County Bed and Breakfast Guild, donated wrapped guest toiletries, blankets, canned goods and other necessities. On Tuesday, Michelle and Gary drove the truckload of donated items to the Fauquier Chapter of the Red Cross who, in conjunction with the Fredericksburg chapter, transported relief trucks to the affected Gulf region.
Gary’s brother, a volunteer fireman and emergency medical technician, is also helping in the relief effort. Regarding their efforts, Michelle Schwartz explained: “I ju^t got so frustrated with
