Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains just below the panoramic entrance to Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park is a little comer of the world which is friendly, and so charming. For Sperryville is the gateway to many attractions, but one of the sources of country atmosphere that make Sperryville famous is the roadside stands stuffed with fresh produce to liven up your meal.
Driving towards Sperryville on U.S. 211, one cannot help but notice the roadside stands.
As you travel on U.S. 211 near Sperryville, you will see a sign that reads “Roy's Orchard and Fruit Market”. Be sure to make the turn onto Route 612 and visit with him and his wife Janet.
Nothing beats the taste of farm fresh locally grown juicy tomatoes, green peppers, and those yellow squash and fresh beans and not to forget those delicious peaches. What more can you ask for than that?
