surrounding counties, Reynolds works ecumenically, sharing ministries with Catholic, Episcopalian, Methodist and other Baptist congregations.
At Reynolds visitors discover serious Christian study, worship and outreach packaged in a friendly, neighborly atmor sphere. Its active and popular youth ministries have included, in recent years, mission excursions to Tennessee and New Hampshire. A missions trip to Central America is in the works for June 2006.
In recent years Reynolds leadership has its roots in lay ministry. Rev. Jon Heddleston, pastor since 1994, is a former editor of tiie Rappahannock News and veteran English teacher at Rappahannock County High School. Deacon Chairman Holly Pendleton is a familiar face in county schools and organizations such as the Rappahannock County Lion’s Club. Reynolds’ leaders believe that God has a call for every person’s life—and that their local church is open to and excited about facilitating each person’s call to Christian service as well.
