Bert Crowder

Gilbert Bertrand Crowder died on Tuesday, August 30, at his residence with his family by his side after losing his battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

He was bom on Jan. 6, 1931 to Cecil Thomas and Mabel Crowder of New Castle, VA. who preceded him in death.

Mr. Crowder graduated from New Castle High School, Class of 1948. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a self employed Hardwood Flooring Contractor for over 50 years, well known throughout Northern Virginia. He was also an active, obedient and faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ, serving in different churches as Deacon, Trustee, Awana Club Leader and Usher.
