Roundtable meeting
The next meeting of the Blue Ridge Civil War Roundtable will be on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at the Public House Restaurant in Flint Hill, VA.
Mr. Stevan Meserve will talk on the “The Broken Glass: Divided Loyalties In Loudoun and Fauquier Counties”.
Mr. Meserve is president of the Eastern Loudoun Civil War Roundtable. He is a Loudoun County historian and part-time tour guide to local and regional Civil War battlefields and historic sites for the county Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services. Steve is an author whose articles have appeared in Civil War Times, Civil War Magazine, The Skirmish Line and the Washington Times. His article on Charles Binns, a deserter from Mosb/s Rangers who became a scout for the Union cavalry, will appear in the January 2006 issue of America’s \ Civil War. Mr. Meserve was a contributor to the Library of Congress Civil War Desk Reference and photo researcher for Time-Life’s The Civil War: Images of an American Tragedy.
The evening starts with a social time at 6:30 p.m. Dinner is from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. followed by the program. The cost of the meal is $12 per person. Everyone, members and non-members are invited and welcome.
