November 6: 4-H Chili

Cook fundraiser

Do you think you have a chili recipe that is the best? Do all of your friends and family love your chili recipe? The Rappahannock County 4-H Livestock Club is inviting everyone to participate in their 4-H Chili Cook-Off to be held at the Rappahannock County High School on Sunday November 6th from 2-6 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to both the participants and winner of the best chili in Rappahannock County. If you would like to be a participant, please contact Hazel Zinn-Day at 937-3185. Participant spaces are limited.

September-December:

Ballet Classes

Ballet is a fun way to get fit and gain strength and flexibility. Registration is now open for ballet classes being held at Belle Meade Schoolhouse in Rappahannock County. Creative Movement, Preballet, Ballet and Adult Ballet will be taught by Meghan Cupp, a former professional ballet dancer, from September through December, 2005. September, December:

Yoga at Belle Meade

Summer yoga is now underway at Belle Meade Schoolhouse on Rt. 231. The Fall Session will start September 8, and continue until December 18. Fee is $12 for dropins, $10 for 6 or more classes or with registration. Monday, 10:30 a.m to 12 p.m. (Mary, Janice) Wednesday, 6-7:30 p.m. (Mary, Janice) Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon (Tanya, Mary, Kit).

Enroll now for GED classes in Rappahannock County. Evening GED classes are designed for adults over the age of 18 years old. Classes are Monday and Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9- p.m. You must register with Regional Adult Education for PD # 9 in order to enroll in class. There is a $25 assessment fee for pre and post test assessments, but the class and books are free. Enrollment is limited to 8 students, so call early to reserve your seat. November 12: Yard Sale

There will be an indoor yard sale at the Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue on Saturday, November 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Donations of articles ere needed and can be picked up by members by calling 675-3615. Please assist the fire department in this ambulance purchase fundraiser.
