During this season in particular, many residents will take stock of their good fortunes of health, home and stability. Please consider becoming a foster parent. If you have room in your home, room in your heart, there are children waiting for placements in Rappahannock. The Department of Social Services provides training and round the clock and round the year support to foster parents.
The application process takes several weeks. Prospective individuals or couples are screened carefully. While the monthly stipend per child is modest, the rewards are enormous.
