Bethany Dodson,17,of Boston and Clay Vickerst16, of Luray, pose with the VHSL first place 2005 year book award. The RCHS yearbook, titled “Rappsody" won first place honors in Virginia. This is the first time RCHS has entered the competition, and the yearbook staff was very surprised. Dodson, who was co-editor in chief of the publication, credits RCHS’s original yearbook theme with the win. “It was ‘Middle of Nowhere.’ We were trying to describe Rappahannock," remembered Dodson. Vickers was business manager of the winning issue of Rappsody, and is a photographer on this year’s edition.
