of Tyler Armor, James Silvey, Wayland and Boelte propelled the Panthers to victory with a time of 3 minutes, 59 seconds.
While the Panther boys were winning, the girls team battled hard in what Coach Stephens called “a close meet.” The Lady Panthers scored 55 points, falling to the Rams by only three.
Four Rappahannock women won individual first places. Kim Hutcheson collected both the triple jump (30 feet, 0.75 inches) and the high jump (4 feet, 5 inches) and Carly Day won the long jump (13 feet, 5.75 inches). In the 100-meter dash, Jocelyn Smith prevailed with a time of 14:78. Sally Hutcheson finished first with a 1 minute, 7 second time in the 300-meter hurdles.
The 4-by-400 relay team of Colleen Daly, Caitlin Diley, Kim Hutcheson, and Emily Williams won its event in a time, of 5 minutes, 57 seconds, while the 4-by-100 relay team of Ashley Armor, Marie Scavetti, Smith, and Kim Hutcheson also finished in first place.
The next chance to cheer the Panthers varsity track Teams is at their April 16 home meet. The action begins at 5 p.m.
