Sccftt Schlosser's Building Trades classes have worked tiieir magic this semester to renovate the office space at 47A Main Street, adjacent to Hopkins Ordinary BAB. This group has done dry wall repair, installed drywall, moved and created new doors and a closet, added a tin-ware drop ceiling, installed plumbing and vanities and painted the room. The first semester of the Building Trades class at die school teaches the basics of masonry, carpentry, electricity and plumbing The Building Trades II class buses the students into the community for application of all these skills. All materials are paid for by the property owner There is no labor fee for community projects, but a donation to the program is appreciated. You may recall that Scott’s classes made our “Welcome to Sperryville” signs that have been placed on the three main entrances into our village. Once again these classes have made a valuable and lasting contribution to the renaissance of Sperryville while learning skills that will make them productive wage earners in our community. Thanks once again to Scott and his students.
