The Panthers managed just three hits in the first six innings against the Eagles. Twice, they had scoring opportunities, but could not capitalize.
But in the top of the seventh, the Panthers scored five consecutive runs to take a 5-1 lead. Taylor Yowell tripled in one run. Connor Settle singled in another. Evan Espinola doubled home a run. A Travis Jenkins fielder’s choice produced another run.
