One of the reasons Mr. Chappell gave, which was reported in the paper, was out-of-county students do not ride our buses. Mr. Chappell knew that was not the truth. Most of the out-of-county students do ride our buses.
Mr. Chappell, you ask us to pay a tax increase to support your budget and at the same time want to give a big break to nontaxpaying citizens. This is nothing less then a slap in the face to all Rappahannock County taxpayers.
The school board and Mr. Chappell said they hope to get as many as 30 more out-of-county students. I think this is nothing less than an attempt to keep employees and justify their budget.
