Virginia-based ‘chaser Gliding is settling well into the Nakayama racecourse near Tokyo, according to email reports by exercise rider James Piper.
Keeping up via a daily journal to the Steeplechase Times, Piper said that the day-long trip from The Plains to New York to Anchorage to Tokyo went well, and that the Doug Fout-trained gelding is handling the change of scenery well. He’s due to run in the $1.5 million Grand Jump April 19.
