This Friday, April 18, the Rappahannock Association for the Alls and Community (HAAC) presents a provocative film so well reviewed that it was nominated for 7 Academy Awards and 7 Golden Giottos. It won an Oscar for Besl Original Score and a Golden Globe for Best Picture. It was nominated for 90 awards world wide and was considered the best in everything in Fngland. Those figures should give you an idea of the incredible evening you can ex|teet from this film.
For anyone not familiar with the novel or the film, t he story centers around a young imaginative girl, Briony Tallis, incredibly played by Saoirse Honan, Briony’s teenage jealousy causes her to tell a lie that forever changes the lives of her Iteautiful sister “C" played by Keira Knightly and Bobbie played by the dashing James McAvoy. The beginning of the film is gloriously shot at an English country house, complete with all of the child/., gardens, antiques, and servants necessary to keep a 19d0s English upper class family happy on a hot summer's day. This is a family accustomed to gentlemen wearing black ties to dinner and the ladies always looking ravishing in perfect evening dresses.
