Board’s request for additional county funds. If the Supervisors approve Mr. McCarthy’s proposal, “the School Board will have no choice but to find ways to reduce $250,000.00,” said Supt. Bob Chappell who pointed out “the School Board already reduced $358,000 - including six positions - in costs before submitting the budget to the Supervisors.”
The proposed school budget features:
• 3 percent salary increase for employees
• Additional funding for spiraling fuel costs
• Additional funding for facilities / RCHS flat roof replacement
• Reduction of six positions and other costs totaling $358,000
• Restoration of 1 Teaching position possibly for Kindergarten or 1st
