reported two weeks ago that none of the school board critics showed up at the school board meeting when the budget was discussed and approved. There is a reason for that; we simply chose not to show up.
If you’ve ever been to a school board meeting, you know the room is filled with teachers, their spouses and other people associated with the school, telling each other what a fine job each other is doing. When a concerned taxpayer stands up to express their concerns about a school budget spiraling out of control, that has not addressed decreasing enrollment and a budget full of discrepancies on line items and categorical spending.
