Eleanor Leake Wharton

Eleanor Leake Wharton, 73 of Locust Grove, formerly of Rappahannock County passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. She was bom April 13, 1936 in Rappahannock County to the late James Preston Leake and Mamie B. Leake. Mffe. Wharton loved life and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George T. Wharton and her brother, Maury H. Browning. Mrs. Wharton is survived bv four children. Tommy Wharton and his wife, Bonnie of Castleton. Connie Wharton of Locust Grove. Greg Wharton and his wife, Ginnv of Castleton and Robin Whalen and her husband, Michael of Locust Grove. Additional survivors include her brother, James P. Leake of Sperryville, five grandchildren, Brian Wharton, Greg Wharton, II, Austin Wharton, Nicole Whalen. Emily Whalen, and four great grandchildren, Karley, Sydney, Chase and Olivia Wharton. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 2,2009 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel. 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor Dallas Smith officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Brown. Bnan Wharton. Daren Leake, Greg Wharton, II, John H. Woodward and Mark Hagen. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
