Catherine Adolfi greeted her caretaker, Maria, with those words a few weeks ago, the morning before she died.
Catherine dressed in colorful clothing and the two women went for a picnic in a park, watched a movie at the senior center and had new pictures taken to renew Mom's passport. Catherine died in her bed the next morning.
I cherish mom's advice to live each moment to the fullest and admire her spirit that kept her looking forward to each new life adventure. She loved irises. I planted many of them for her and will remember her spirit, especially when the irises bloom for Mother’s Day.
