Seventy percent of those registered turned out for Tuesday’s elections and put former Washington mayor Peter Kramer back into office for a two year term. The cabinet maker who was defeated on a write-in campaign in 1976 held off a similar effort this time, coming out ahead of antique dealer Emmet White by a two-to-one margin, 52 to 56. Incumbent Mayor . Newbill Miller garnered one write-in vote.
