Discussions of load problem.-; employed a large part of the time of the meeting of the Doan! of Supervisors yesterday afternoon at the Courthouse.
The construction of a section of Route 631 in the Chester Gap neighborhood was left unsettled when Stanley Williams requested another board of viewers. Mr. Williams was'dissatisfied with the agreement offered of $300 damages for approximately .4 of an acre bordering his property. Thid road^- leading to Mr. Williams' farm, would benefit seven other families living beyond his property on this road: Ollie Wines, Noah Wines, Albert Wines, Mrs. Ethel Williams, Mrs. Annie Williams, Marshall Mahoney, and Elmer Wines.
The viewers in this request were named to meet March 11 at 10 o’clock: Nish North, W. L. Sutphin, John R. Moore, W. G. Eastham, and F. H. Cary.
Ray Cannoi., postmaster at Castleton, appeared before the board for repairs on Route 649, a mail route. R. M. Monroe, of Laurel Mills section commended the fine work done on a section of road in his neighborhood but recommended application of stone to clean up some muddy spots in the road.
J E. Johnson, resident engineer, explained that funds would not permit all road improvement desired and actually needed, but that all possible work would be done, that roads be kept “passable” and improvement' made as funds were available.
The board went on record as desiring - all possible improvements to be made.
Another board of viewers was appointed in regard to the extent sion of Route 730 from the edge of Culpeper county. The road borders the A. C. Latham property. Viewers appointed were Wr. A. Laing, John Tapp, C. H. Smith, L. H. Luttrell, and W. E. Duncan. They will meet March 11 at 10 o’clock.
A third board of viewers was appointed in regard to Rt. 600: C. E. Johnson, Jr., P. L. Thornton, A. L. Brown, U. S. Atkins, and G. M. Black. These will meet March 11 at 10 o’clock.
