Farm Credit Conference
To Meet March 6 --8
Bankers and professional agricultural workers from every section of Virginia will meet at the Natural Bridge Hotel March 6-8, for the fourth annual Farm Credit Conference jointly sponsored by the Agricultural Committee of the Virginia Bankers Association, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. According to William M. Early, Jr., President of National Bank of Orange and chairman of the Committee on Agriculture, VBA, “the purpose of the conference is to encourage closer working relationship bsetween bankers and professional agricultural workers in the development of the agricultural economy of the Stale.” One of the principal .factors in the development of this economy iS the sound extension of credit both from the standpoint of the lender and the 'borrower and, this subject, according to Mr.-Early, will receive special treatment during the two and one-half day meeting.
