Some of the work of the National chapter dring 1949 was as follows:
(1) Assisted in 330 domestic relief operations.
(2) Handled 67,500 veterans’ claims.
(3) 300 Chapter's participated in the Red Cross National Blood Program.
(4) Over a million people trained in first aid, water safety, and accident prevention.
(5) 126,894 persons received home nursing instructions.
