Mrs. Ethel E. Harrington, who spent last week in Norfolk with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Woodard, returned to her home on Saturday, she was accompanied by Mrs. Woodward who was a week-end guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Woodward.
Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Kalbach of Falls Church, were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Verner.
Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Donaldson and daughter Joyceanne of Laurel, Md.; Mrs. John Johnson and Mrs. Bertha Poe, Misses Lillie and Nellie Johnson, Mrs. May Compton, Mrs. R. H. Carder and R. M. Johnson were dinner guests of Mr. and, Mrs. C. B. Johnson on Sunday. That sanve evening the Donaldsons, accompanied
by Mrs. Donald son’a mother, Mrs. Beitha Poe and Mrs. John Johnson returned to Laurel.
Mrs. Jeanie Jarvis spent the week end with friends in" Washington, D. C..
Mrs. P. L. Thornton and ner son, James M. Thornton, a student of V.P.I., spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. P. L. Thornton, Jr.
C. S. Bennett was a- guest on Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Brown.
Mrs. George W. Brown accompanied Rev. N. J. Flythe and Mrs. Flythe and Mrs. Ora Ramey to North Garden on Thursday to attend the “The Workshop on the Town and Country Churches’’ which was held in the Trinity Methodist church. Dr.'J. W. Sells, director of the Radio broadcast “The Methodist Hour” was one of the speakers, as also was T. E. Landis District Superintendent of the Charlottesville District.
