Last week for two days, .Monday and Tuesday to be exact, the agent held a tying springs clinic at the home of Mrs. Pearl Mills in Huntly. On the second day all the members of the Huntly Club were invited in, to see and help tie springs in a stvdio couch. By seeing and helping in the process the women learned how to tie springs, and, thus can go home and tie springs in the pieces of furniture that need it. Something like this can make a couch look like new. For next month the club decided they would like to learn how to upholster, so, *.n extra meeting will be held on this subject.
The Flint Hill club met at the home of Mrs. Robert Dulaney Febivary 21. Business was carried on first. The club paid their State Federation dues and also, contributed to the Penny Friendship. It was decided that the club would have an extra meeting in March on tying springs at the home of Mrs. Cook. Then a demonstration on “Making Braided Rugs and Crocheted Rugs’’ was given by the-agent. Mrs. Barbara (ientry gave a demonstration on a rug made with a clothes hanger and one with a safety pin. Those two demonstrations Mrs. Gentry gave were most interesting.
