RappahannockAngus Breeders will have approximately 950 (an, all time record) calves for their 13th Annual Feeder Calf Sale to be held October 14 at Fropt Royal Livestock Market beginning promptly at 2p.m. eastern standard time.
This year there are 36 consigners compared with nine consigners at the first sale held in 1940 when but 231 calves were auctioned. While drawing comparisons between the beginning and present'the sale grossed $11,765 in 1940 and $137,021 in 1951.
Breeders who have consigned continuously a/e believed to be but four: Dr. Thomas E. Hughes, John S. Browning, J. Rodes Brown and James E. Yetes.

Rappahannock Hereford breeders are consigning 228 head to the Northern'Virginia Feeder Calf Sale at Winchester while H. S. Barksdale consigns to the Page County sale held at Front Roal.
