Washington News Notes
Mrs Frank Moffett entertained the Washington Bridge Club on Thursday evening. After the game refreshments were served by the hostess and prizes were awarded to Mrs. Wade H. Massie for high score; Mrs. D. D. Miller fcorf consolation; Mrs. Lewis J. Turner, traveling; and Mrs. Elizabeth DeBer^if, bingo.
Mrs. Charles H. White and granddaughter, Dancey Dowan of Linden were week-end guests cf Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Camplcll of Twinland. Mrs. Campbell entertained for supper Sunday night Mr. and Mrs Alfred White and daughter, Betty, Dr. and Mrs. F. Dixon Whitworth and son, F. Dixon Jr., of Front Royal. C. J. Miller was a dinner guest on Sunday of the Campbells.
Carlyle Lea returned home on Sunday from Lynchburg, where he had been on a week’s visit to his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Thompson. On Monday . Carlyle left for Augusta Military Academy, where he will enter as a student. He entered early because of his interest in football.
Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Keyser en, tertained for pinner Saturday evening Mrs, D. Lyle Miller, Mrs. J. W. Price, and Mr. and Mrs. Dike Quaintance. After dinner Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Keyser joined in for a game of bridge. •
