With all this political talk flying through the air, conversations which begin with Eisenhower or Stevenson, or Republican or Democrat, may end up far removed from the original subject. (After altflmost of us know comparatively little about politics, and material for talk soon runs out. It demands either a gradual change of topic, or tiresome repetition.)
One prize story came from a recent talk—that began political and ended up on a higher plain—and it ran something like this:
