On the 4th and 5th of September, .. I, along with Miss Fuss and Ivory „ Atkins, attended the 4-H Electric Congress in Richmond. The trip is awarded to the boy and girl winning the county prize in the Farm -and 1 Home Rural Electrification project, by the power suppliers for their area. We arrived in time fdr lunch on Friday, September 4. After the meal, we were addressed by Gover• nor John S. Battle, of Virginia and entertained by talented 4-Her'is. We went on a tour of the state capital building and then had . a chance to visit the stores downtown. • At supper, gold watches were awarded to the district winners.
