Sgt. T. B. Beasley
Takes P.D. Duties
Taking command of the Virginia Department of State Police Area 14 Headquarters, located in Luray is Sgt. T. B. Beasley, a native of Appomattox. He assumed his duties there February 1. Area 14 is in the Second Division and includes the counties of Rappahannock, Page and Shenandoah with 16 Troopers serving in it. Sgt. Beasley began his law enforcement career as a dispatcher at administration headquarters in Richmond in 1955. He next became a Trooper and served over three years each in the Fredericksburg area and in Bedford County. Following this, he was promoted to Investigator and was stationed in the Sixth Division at Salem. He was appointed Sergeant and assigned to Area 14 following the resignation of Sgt. L. Kayan. Sgt. Beasley is married to the former Phyllis Arwood and they have two daughters. They will move to Luray in the spring or early summer.
