Today tuberculosis is no longer a terrifying disease to most people. It can be treated, even prevented, by a drug called i8oniazid.
Last year in the area covered by the Tuberculosis and Health Association of Northern Virginia, 52 new cases were found. There is a total of 484 cases under supervision of the health department and of these 292 are active.
