Hamid Havstad
A funeral service was held Sunday at 3:30 p.tn. at the Clore Funeral Home, Culpeper for Harald Havstad, sr., a retired electronics research engineer who died January 30, 1970 at his home in Sperryville. He was 62. The service was conducted by the Rev. C. G. Ldng, Jr. Mr. Havstad was born in Drobak, Norway and became a citizen of this country in 1941. He is survived by his wife Gladys. Sigwald Havstad of Sperryville, formerly of Charleston, S.C., two sons, Peter Sigwald Havstad of Sperryville and Harald Havstad, Jr. of Hillsdale, N.J. and two grandsons. Mr. Havstad was associated from 1949 untij his early retirement in 1968 with the ITT Federal Laboratories at Nutley, N. J. serving as an Associate Laboratory Director at the time of his retirement.
