How-come a linotype operator is a quilter? “Well,” said Miss Bowie, “My grandmother made a quilt in the 1840’s -- which I have - and my mother and aunt were both quilters and they taught me. I’ve been a linotype operator only about 26 years; I’ve been quilting for three generations.”
