The rarmer-busmessman has been in agriculture for 20 years in Rappahannock County. He operates a 489-acre farm, 30 in small grain, and has a herd of Charolais beef cattle.
He pointed out that the organization is observing "Farm Bureau Day" on February 10 in recognition of the contributions Farm Bureau has made in Rappahannock.
Some of the activities of the organization include being the voice of the farmer and rural Virginia in the General Assembly in Richmond on such matters as land tax and Constitutional revisions. •*
At the county level, Farm Bureau representatives attend the Board of Supervisors meetings to help solve problems dealing with schools, roads, local taxation, zoning and natural resources.
