those who wish to participate in the leagues will be available at each of the local schools. They must be filled out and returned to the schools by May 31. Tryouts for teams will be held Wednesday and Thursday, June 1 and 2 at 6:30 p.m. All girls who wish to play and boys ages 9 to 13 will meet at Rappahannock Elementary School and boys ages 14 to 17 will meet at the high school. No child will be eliminated, but tryouts will determine talent which will be evenly distributed among the teams. A donation of $2 per child is suggested at the time of tryouts.
A meeting of all officers and adult leaders is scheduled for Tuesday, May 31 at 7:30 at Sperryville fire hall to formulate plans.
On June 6 there will be a public meeting at Sperryville fire hall at 8 p.m. to update progress and discuss methods of financing the program.
