County maps that show ' soil and slope are the basis for zoning districts, said Planner Newbill Miller. "As far as agricultural and conservation areas are concerned, our maps are totally correct,” Miller maintained.
County Engineer Fanning Baumgardner noted that an on-site check can override information contained in the . maps.
Chairman Barksdale reported that Baumgardner was working closely with the Commonwealth Attorney, developing a list to follow in subdivision approval. When completed, the list will be forwarded to the Supervisors for endorsement, said Barksdale. "Then I want it used.” he added.
