There’s a great deal of agricultural land with over 14 per cent slope being farmed and grazed in the county, noted Luke.
“Then it’s being taken care of properly,” Barksdale responded.
County ordinances require five-acre lot size for agriculture land, said Miller. “If the slopes are greater than 14 per cent it’s conservation, no matter where it exists. If slopes are less than 14 per cent, it’s agriculture, no matter where it exists,” he stated.
“When Good first went into the zoning office with his application, was he told that 14 per cent slopes required 25 to 50-acre lots and under 14 per cent, only five%
acres?,” asked Luke/
Harris interrupted with a contention that inquiries by the Planners on slope had been directed towards specific lots only, and not to the entire parcel.
