Mr. and Mrs. James Fox had as Friday dinner guests, Mr. and Mrs. John Dutcher and children of Bentonville. Saturday evening the - Foxes attended a Bible study in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Garland Elliott in Strasburg.
Mrs. James E. Williams and Pam spent Saturday in Hagerstown, Md. Sunday visitors in the Williams’ home were Mrs. Belvie Donaldson, Miss Phyllis Donaldson, Mrs. Daisy Kenney and Mrs. Edith Donaldson, all of Martinsburg, W. Va. and Mrs. Alma Young of Stephens City.
The sick in our community include Samuel “Dicky” Williams who entered Warren Memorial Hospital Thursday morning of last week, and Paul Foster who entered the same hospital Monday of this week. The Rev. Roy Mathena, formerly of Chester Gap Baptist Church, underwent surgery in Warren Hospital this past Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Holdaway of Roanoke were Friday overnight guests of the Dean Holdaways, and Saturday both couples attended the wedding of the Rex Holdaways’ daughter, Miss Wendy Holdaway, to Danny Lindsey, in Fairfax.
