Mrs. Atkins
A funeral for Freda Eva Atkins of Sperryville was held May 20 at Thornton Gap Regular Baptist Church with the Rev. Kirby Shenk officiating. Burial followed in the Sperryville Cemetery. ' Mrs. Atkins, 78, died May 18, 1977 at her residence. A native of Fauquier County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lillie Snyder Dodson. She was a member of Thronton Gap Regular Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Ernest Atkins; three daughters, Mrs. Mary H. Beal, Mrs. Helen D. D’Arienzo and Mrs. Ella Mae Looney; three sons, Frank Atkins Jr., Charles L. Atkins and John A. Atkins; IS grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Hallie Mouser and Mrs. Lucy Green; and a brother, Bumeum Dodson.
The pallbearers were Cecil Atkins, Floyd Clatterbuck, Dennis Ralls, Jr., Roy Alther, Stephen Alther and Ray A. Alther.
