Michael’s father is one of the founding members of the Eschwege Lion’s Club and volunteered to take part in the Youth Exchange program after being contacted by U.S. Lion’s Club representatives. Last year, an American girl from Norfolk stayed with the Hesse family in their home. Michael’s cousin is also an exchange student this year, visiting a family in Norfolk.
