Bill Welch of Waynesboro is recovering after being hospitalized with injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident August 7. He was operating a 74 Norton motorcycle on Route 522 south of Flint Hill when he lost control of the vehicle as the chain apparently came off.
According to Trooper R. A. Baines, Welch sustained lacerations and abrasions of the face and shoulder.
August 12 three miles south of Washington on Route 622 Mildred Clanagan of Washington lost control of her auto and ran through a fence. She was cited for reckless driving by Trooper Baines, who estimated damage to the car at $300.
