Rappahannock N«n Suff Writer A full day kindergarten program will be offered in Rappahannock County for the first time when school opens on August 29. The ^county School Board members voted last week to authorize the full day program at the recommendation of Superintendent William Bloomer.
Bloomer reported that kindergarten enrollment was holding at 60 pupils. State Standards of Quality allow a 32 pupil maximum class size with a teacher and one aide. As long as enrollment does not top 64, the county will be able to avoid half-day, split classes for the state mandated kindergarten.
The full-day program coincides with the preferences expressed by a majority of parents who responded to a kindergarten survey taken recently by school personnel. Bloomer told the Board that 60
