Williams
Downing Lovel Williams of Chester Gap died August 7, 1977, in Winchester Memorial Hospital. A funeral service was held August 10 at the Chester Gap Baptist Mission with burial in the Williams cemetery.
Mr. Williams was born in Chester Gap, March 30, 1917. He was a son of Sandy Cary and Beulah Moulden Williams.
Surviving are his wife, Mazie Wines Williams; his stepmother, Lucy Williams of Chester Gap; one son, Larry Williams, at home; two daughters, Rachel Smoot of Washington, Va., and Bonnie Williams, at home.
Also surviving are six brothers, Linwood and Dalton Williams, Front Royal; Lawrence, Haywood, Elwood, and Leo Williams, Chester Gap; and three sisters, Mrs. Horace Dulin, Mrs. Charles Frazier, and - Mrs. Billy Wines, all of Chester Gap.
