Hoskinson and daughter, Anna Marie of Parkersburg, W. Va. Sunday George Cain, Brian, Belinda and Julie, of Alexandria, were dinner guests of the Franklin Cains.
Sunday some 15 members of the Holdaway family gathered at the Dean Holdaway home for a cookout in celebration of Mrs. Holdaway’s birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Holdaway left Tuesday for Mouth of Wilson where the latter will care for her 97-year-old mother, Mrs. Polly Jane Halsey, while Mrs. Halsey’s daugher, Mrs. Rheba Holdaway, is hospitalized.
Mrs. Paul Foster was a recent visitor in the home of her sister, Mrs. Bobby Williams. Mr. Foster continues in the Charlottesville hospital where he has been a patient for the last two weeks.
Friday Alfred Sealock, accompanied by his son Butch, was in Gaithersburg, Md. for a doctor’s appointment, and Tuesday the two were in Lanham, Md. for another appointment.
A Gospel Singing Feast will be held Saturday, August 20, at 7:30 p.m. at the Union Hall, 231 Chester St., Front 'RQjral, for the benefit of the W arteqCounty branch of the NAACP. Everyone is invited to attend.
