I am certain that the Rappahannock News would not want to continue a practice which, if continued, might risk serious charges of deception and a breach of the newspaper’s responsibility to the community. Such charges could do irreparable damage to the newspaper’s credibility. Thus, 1 feel sure that the Rappahannock News will kindly advise all of its readers to either sign their given names to all letters to the editor, or announce that henceforth, no anonymous letters will be printed in the paper. Failure to do so might compromise one of our most cherished freedoms.
