“I still have some hope there may be a compromise between Mr. Goode and the board of supervisors,” the attorney replied. (At the February 1 board meeting, the supervisors indicated they would grant approval for the development if Goode would adjust the number of lots to ensure that each lot contained five acres of land below 14 per cent slope and if he would implement improved erosion control measures.)
Compton reported that Goode had been confined to his bed under doctor’s orders for the past three weeks and so had been unable to “actively participate at arriving at a compromise.” He added that he hoped his client would be able to meet with the supervisors prior to the May 2 pre-trial conference.
