Regulations governing restricted use pesticides became effective in late fall at retail outlets.
“Such regulations, made by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mean that the materials are for retail sale to and application by only certified applicators or persons under their direct supervision,” Norman E. Lau, Virginia Tech Extension specialist in chemicals, drugs and pesticides, said.
