Carroll C. Freeman, Sr., 36, of Front Royal died June 11, 1979, in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church at Happy Creek by the Rev. J. P. Baltimore. Interment was at Good Hope Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Freeman was born in Rappahannock County July 6, 1942, son of James E. Freeman of New York City and Josephine Carter Freeman of Manassas. He served with the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a truck driver for the Herndon Lumber and Millwork Company in Gainesville. He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church at Happy Creek, American Legion Post No. 109, and the

A funeral for Mrs. Ada Nellie Sherman, 85, of Castleton was conducted Saturday at the Geest Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper by the Rev. Earl Sprowls. Burial was in Woodland Church Cemetery, Culpeper.
A native of Hardy County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Matilda Sherman. Mrs. Sherman died June 14, 1979, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Woodland United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harry Kerns of Marshall; four grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren and one greatgreat-grandchild.
