According to Davis, most of the land described by Kramer is currently zoned flood plain, not agriculture. Stating in the advertisement that the rezoning request was from agriculture to commercial was “misleading the public,” Davis charged. He’d advised changing the ad, he said, because he wanted “the public to be accurately informed and not mislead.”

“What was corrected was not what we voted on,” remarked Luke.

“The Planning Commission agreed to advertise a rezoning of 3.97 acres from agriculture to commercial. The ad didn’t reflect what the Planning Commission approved,” agreed Miller. “But it’s all been resolved. We’ll readvertise and hold another public hearing in July.”
