Diane L. Tuthill, daughter °f Cdr. and Mrs. Donald L. Tuthill of Washington, and James W. Wood, son of Dr. and Mrs. Herbert H. Wood of Lorton, were married Sunday, June 10, 1979 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington. The Rev. Jennings Hobson III performed the service and Mrs. Gloria Harris of Washington was organist.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a traditional formal gown of white sheer cotton organza v/ith a scoop neckline accented by a lace up-yoke. Chantilly lace with satin ribbon trim adorned the natural waistline and the hemline and the bishop sleeves featured the same trim. Complementing her look was a wide-brimmed hat
