The Rev. and Mrs. Joe B. Monger of Mobjack, Virginia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Lynn Monger, to Ronald Davidson Hawkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Hawkins Jr. of Washington.
Miss Monger is a graduate of Harrisonburg Senior High School and Averett College in Danville where she received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. She is employed by the Raphannock County School

The Rappahannock County Retired Teachers Association honored Mary Miller Wood and Annie Moore, recent retirees of the Rappahannock County Public School System, at a luncheon at Quality Inn, Front Royal at noon Tuesday, June 12. A delightful chicken salad plate was served.
Mrs. Barbara Gentry, president, introduced the guests and welcomed the twenty persons present. O. A. Norton, former school superintendent and president of District N Retired Teachers Association, explained the hobby show to be held at the fall District N meeting in Front Royal. Mrs. Gentry and Mr. Norton gave a brief outline of the “55 Alive” driving course which the association plans to sponsor in the fall. Membership in the Retired Teachers Association is open to all retired professional personnel of educational systems or institutions, public, private and parochial, on the payment of the prescribed dues. Interested persons may contact Elsie Dodson, Flint Hill, 675-3305 for additional information. Membership enrollment ends June 30.
